I have not touched my website in over a year. The main reason is that I decided to go to school full-time, starting in 2023 and I completed a 2-year diploma program in Photographic Art & Production at the School of the Photographic Arts - Ottawa (SPAO). My plan was to raise the level of my work significantly, I in my view, I feel that I achieved that goal.
I produced three major works for the final year project; the 3 x 3 typology shown below, a fine art book as well as a children’s book. All three works were very well received. All three were on display at the SPAO Gallery for almost a month. In addition to the diploma, I also received two academic awards; one for lighting and one for the books I produced.
I’m starting to work on new projects now. the latest is the FANtasy project, where I use Japanese fans that I re-purpose to create photographs. These can be in the FANtasy section of this website.
It feels great to be back!
